Treating Vaginal Dryness

Vaginal dryness is an issue that can affect all women, but it most common in post menopausal women. There are both physical and mental side effects of this problem. It can cause pain and discomfort during intercourse, but there are also hidden problems such as causing low self esteem and embarrassment.

It can really affect your ability to have a healthy sex life and relationship.

In post menopausal women vaginal dryness can be caused by changes in female hormone levels. In pre menopausal women low estrogen can cause dryness.

Many common medications can also be a cause, including cold medication and some anti depressants. So what can be done to combat vaginal dryness?

Firstly, DO NOT use a vaginal douche. It may seem logical that introducing a watery solution would combat dryness, but in reality you could introduce bacteria that can cause infections, making the problem worse.

Some women try using lubricants, but this is only a temporary solution, with the dryness coming back when the lubricant wears off.

V-Tight gel is a type of product known as a vaginal rejuvenation cream. It aims to be a permanent solution to the problem of vaginal dryness as well as helping to tighten the vagina and ward off infections.

You don’t need to see a doctor to buy it, so you can buy and use it discreetly in the comfort of your home.

  • You are right in what you say about different solutions are better for different people. I tried all sorts to be honest and especially the big brands. It came down to my dryness being psychological more so than physical from a past bad experience. All is good now though and great to see you are giving great advice to women on this subject.
